So many creatives psych themselves out by believing lies about their creativity which stops them from even starting their creative journey. But your God-given talents and not be afraid to take risks. As it says in 1 Corinthians 1:27, "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." We shouldn't be afraid to embrace our creativity, even if it seems foolish to others.

I want to introduce you to one of Firelight Creative Production's stage films, From Patmos. This original musical tells the story of the man who knew Jesus best during His life on earth, the Apostle Paul. I was honored to perform the role of Old John (that's me pictured above!) who shows up in a series of flashbacks to the Island of Patmos.

Inspiration is one of the greatest threats to creativity.

Today you stand at the intersection of craft and divinity. If you’re a creative and a believer, your mission must be two-fold. You are called to strive for excellence in your craft and remain deeply connected to the Holy Spirit. This is what will truly make your work stand out and, most importantly, will make it an instrument of God's glory. This must be the highest priority in fostering a creative landscape that moves hearts, shapes culture, and gives glory to Jesus.

Throughout history, the men and women who invented or created incredible things did so in community.One of the greatest examples is C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. C.S Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien were part of a group called The Inklings that began meeting together in the 1930s. This group of 19 men from Oxford would meet 1-2 times per week for seventeen years. They would share stories, ideas, and challenge one another.

The journey of making my third film in three years, Eden's Twilight. We've had so many amazing God stories and some pretty big challenges along the way. We're taking a leap of faith on this project and I invite you to jump with us. With a budget that's over double the amount of our first film, we're seeking $250,000 and we're already well on our way, needing just $86,000 more to be fully funded.
